Hygienic Stainless Steel Belt

                                                  Hygienic Stainless Steel Belt

We are facing COVID-19 now.  This is fight against virus.

In the food industry have been repeated food poisoning and food product contamination due to bacteria growth.

One reason is hygiene management on food process machines and food transport systems.

Generally, we can clean metal much more easily than organic materials like resin and rubber.
Especially stainless steel demonstrated little possibility of rusts.
So this metal has been used in the food processing industry and water related parts like sinks and faucets.

DYMCO is an expert of stainless steel belts.
Our belts are hygiene and emit little dusts, serving as a good transport tool in the food industry and clean-room operations.

Stainless steel belt conveyer with belt wiper Nov. 22, 2017

We visited two food marcinery trade shows this year.

The one was "International Food Marcinery & Technology Exhibition" held in June.
The other one was held in September in Chicago, which is called "Process Expo".

We found it is extremely difficult to scrape with belt wipers sticky things stuck on plastic and rubber belts .  They are not removed completely and there are left-overs on the belt.  These sticky things include mashed potatoes, bread daugh, etc.
Although food safety is focused in every country now, these left-overs are a hygienic problem from steel belt maker's viewpoint.

In the United States, there are also plastic and rubber belts that transport food like fat-contained hamburger steak and confectionery paste. It seems the US food producers are also suffering from "Scraping sticky materials".
As I looked at the show in Japan,  manufacutuers also seem to face  a serious problem of residue on belts such as powder and seasoning drops.

Rubber, resin and mesh belts, it takes huge amount of time and work to constantly remove these residues and make them clean every day.

Also bacteria frows and smell reamins on these belts.

It is a pity that many food manufacturers do not know stainless steel belts. Dymco has a food conveyor in our product lineup.
The belt here is tensile stainless steel and provides flat transport bed.
Yet plastic safety wiper (scraper) is available as below.

This perfectly fits the flat belt surface and removes everything off the belt.

Easy maintenance is another feature.
The driven pully is easy hung up and the belts becomes loose.
Then washing is quite easy and the belt is exchanged in a shot time.

Stainless steel belt food conveyor

Here in Japan our food conveyor is evaluated in hygiene environment.
Belt and conveyor frame are all made by stainless steel.
This is employed in
・meat processing
・transportation of processed food such as frozen rice, meat balls, and cut vegetables
・production of sweets like chocolate, candies, cubic sugar, and popsicle

If our conveyor is introduced in your factory,
・washing is quite easy. Labor and water will be decreased remarkably.

・bacteria do not sneak into the belt.  They do not grow in or on the belt.
・alchohol sterilization is OK.
・you will find size variation of the conveyor.
・you can change the belt instantly as shown in this video.

Wine in a PET bottle

The Nihon Keizai Shimbun reports that a Japanese wine maker, Mercian Corporation, started sales of wine in PET bottles like a picture below.
They sell Rose only in PET bottles.
They target Japanese women in their 20's and 30's, who love Rose.
Special function is included in this PET, which reduces incoming of oxygen into a bottle.
