Vacuum Conveyor Application Video: Pulling in Film and Metal Foil / Tension Adjustment

We are focusing our sales on suction conveyor.

A conveyor, in general,  carry things.

In addition, suction conveyor can tow a continuous film, metal foil and metal strip under tension like in the video below.

In this test we applied tension by weight.

The degree of tension is adjusted easily by controlling suction.

Material is pulled without wrinkles and without vertical movement like the below.

In both sheet feeding and roll-to roll, films and metal foils are pulled on a belt by vacuum and those thin material stay flat on the belt.

Continuous Monitoring on Wok Temperature - Double Steel Belt Heat Press Machine

Our Doubel Steel Belt Press and Heat, the picture below, has heating blocks in orange.
2 orange blocks in the upper conveyor.  The one on the left is for pre-heating.
Likewise there are 2 orange blocks in the lower conveyor. The one on the left is also for pre-heating.
There is clearance beween 2 heating blocks in the upper and other 2 heating blocks in the lower.
Load is applied from the upper blocks to the lower blocks.

A workpiece such as resin goes through the clearance.
It is heated and softened between steel belts.
It is also pressed and its thickness becomes depth of clearance.
Finally it goes out.

Structure of Double Steel Belt Press and Heat

During this process workpiece temperature goes up in the beginning 

and then is kep same for a while.
This change of temperature is shown in the fiture below.

A workpiece is processed, but we cannot watch it temperature.
But it is clear by temperature logging.
This logging is possible when you come to DYMCO and make tests.

When printing or processing continuously on the surface of a film, sheet, paper, etc., if the film stretches, moves or waves, it will not be possible to perform accurate printing or processing.

In those cases, Dymco's Vacuum/Suction Steel Belt Conveyor can help to perform accurate printing and processing.

This is because Dymco's Vacuum/Suction Steel Belt Conveyor does not transport the film by pulling force of winding rolls, but by holding it on a flat and smooth steel belt by suction.

DYMCO's Double Steel Belt Machines

Dymco’s main product is stainless steel belts, but customers contact us are often unfamiliar with steel belts and they try steel belts for the first time.

There are a lot of applications with steel belts, Double Steel Belt Press is one of them.

What this machine can do is;

- Continuous forming process of heating, press, and cooling. This cannot be done without a high thermal conductivity of steel belts.

- Processed workpiece can be flat 

- Line speed can be faster because the heat press continues for a long time.

Customers can give a test with our demonstration machines at our laboratory.

2 double belt press machines are available for the demonstrations.

The second machine operate under maximum pressure of 3,000 kg, maximum temperature of 250℃. The belts are 400mm wide and cooling unit is installed after the heat press section.

We are frequently asked for the higher temperature. In that case, the first machine is capable of 350℃. We hear the needs for higher pressure, too. We are working on the modification of the demonstration machine to respond these customers’ needs.
