May 29, 2017 Corona Metal Belt or Pinning Belt

This is another metal belt application to support film sheet forming.

Meted plastics goes out of T die and falls on the cooling roller.
Pinning system is working here to transport plastics smoothly from T die to the cooling roll so as to avoid fine air bubbles, thickness deviation and degrades of transparency.  
 
In this pinning system high voltage is applied to a metal belt.  Through this metal belt a positive charge covers plastics.
Whe the cooling roller is set negative, thin plastics is attached to the cooling roller instantly and plastic film is formed.

Pinning system becomes more effective when a metal belt is thinner.
Tungsten wire is often used.  Its thickness is 1.5 to 2mm or 0.06 to 0.08 inches.  When roller width is quite long, this wire sags.
To avoid slack tension is appled, then the wire may be broken.
 
When it comes to metal belt, thickness can be 50 micron or 0.002 inches.  Yet by additional width metal belts stand much tension.

May 24, 2017 Property of Metal Belts

Metal belts have worked as solutions for unprecendented needs.

10) Magnetism.  Due to magnetism of metal belts, drive and control by magnet are possible.
11) Resistance against corrosion and chemicals.
12) High precision. Critical tolerance is met.  High speed is possible.

May 17, 2017 Continuous Inspection Stage- Rotating Platen

We have talked on our suction conveyor very often.
It is good at transporting paper and films.
Yet its belt surface is always flat due to a flat belt and suction.
It is just like platen, rotating platen.
In general belt surface fluctuation in Z direction is within 50 microns while the belt is rotating. 
This is the best tool for continuous inspection by camera or laser.

May 10, 2017 Cylindrical Patterning Mold Replica- More in Detail

We know that fine-patterned molds are more often used in thermal imprint, UV imprint, and printed electronics.  And needs on replica molds are also increasing due to high cost of the original fine-patterned molds.

Upon these needs, DYMCO is working on development of replica molds.
The outstanding feature is that we can make cylindrical, seamless replica by the primary and secondary deposition and transfer.

We have tried this dimension.
Replica roll diameter: 120mm
Pattern width: 60mm
凹凸 height in pattern: 20 microns and less
This is reference, so contact us for size required.

Patterns on flat plates can be transferred on cylindrical rolls.
We do the primary and secondary deposition and transfer patterns by our electro-forming technology and finally weld them to make them rolls.
