The year of 2019 is going to be closed.

We had many guests here this year. 

Many of them brought their special material and we did experiments and evaluation together here.

 

Some of them found DYMCO web site in their Internet search or got info from our blog and were motivated try tests at DYMCO lab.

 

One of issues of our clients is how to shift to the volume production that includes heating, pressing and cooling.  Ordinary machines cannot produce a lot, covering these process.

Here we suggest you to examine our Double Belt Heat and Press Unit.

 

Like an illustration below, the post guide press machine on your left presses the work one by one.

Volume production cannot be expected.

The unit on your right, however, 2 belts continuously heat, press, and cool the work n R2R basis.

Volume production and production cost decrease are gained.

In Double Belt Unit there are 3 process, Orange Area 1 preheating, Orange Area 2 Heating, and Blue Area of Cooling.

 

This heat and press test involves 3 elements of temperature, pressure and time.  We cannot easily guess the results.  So why not come hear and see what happens?

Heat Transfer by Surface Contact / Dymco Cooling Roll for film forming 

The Japanese people are becoming great rugby fans, enjoying every match of Rugby World Cup 2019 held in Japan.
It is a big news for us that Japan could join the best 8 teams for the first time.

Now back to DYMCO products, I introduce “Cooling Roll” today.
This is a special product in a way that the outer surface is has a thin-walled cylindrical metal sleeve completely seamless, without any seam.  Inside this sleeve lies a rubber-coated roll. 

Cooling water circulates In this clearance between the outside metal seamless roll and the inside rubber roll.

The cooling capacity depends on how much contact area can be gained when this cooling roll is pressed against the object to be cooled (usually a rigid roll).

Currently, we are setting parts and units to watch the actual heat transfer performance
and are making further improvements to meet the demands of users.

The upper roll is our cooling roll and the lower roll is a hard rigid roll



We have provided φ100 x 950L to a user for trial.
The larger size is producible.
Cooling roll size is sometimes restricted by size of the outer metal seamless sleeve.

Big typhoons have damaged many areas in our country this year.

Some say this is caused by global warming,

and that these big typhoons will come from now on, too.

At the same Japan's super aging society is also an important issue.

Together with young labor shortage, need of automation and  labor saving is increasing.

Today's topic is heating metal belt conveyor.

We have provided metal belt conveyors for different purposes:

- Keep heated atmosphere
- Baking
- Dry powder
- Heating, heat treatment and softening of metal parts

Now DYMCO has one heating metal belt conveyor in the picture below.
We use this in our lab for tests with our customers.

The heating furnace is set over the transport surface, above the metal belt.
We set up heating temperature, transport speed and heating time.
This way we get results from different conditions.

In July we celebrated our 34th anniversary on Entertainment Restaurant Ship 'Royal Wing.' 

The ship sailed through under Yokohama Bay Bridge and made a round of Yokohama Port.
As twilight covers the sky, night views of Yokohama spread out in front of us. 
It was so beautiful.
Here is a picture of the night.

We sometimes have overseas visitors.
We show them or belts and conveyors.
When visitors bring their work, we test them on our vacuum conveyors, for instance.

Micro-pattern imprinting rolls for plastic film production

These days, we see more and more requests for a special imprint roll to which a replica sleeve is attached. These rolls are used to imprint micro-patterns on the surface of plastic film/sheet materials.

A replica sleeve precisely copies micro patterns from a master imprint mold, and it is produced at highly economical cost. Normally, a master mold tends to be so expensive since the micro-patterns are processed by a high-precision machining tool, and it requires a long working time.

Dymco invented a method to economically produce a lot of replica sleeves.

The merit of using a replica sleeve is that it can be replaced by another replica sleeve when the micro pattern is damaged. That reduces the running cost at the mass production.

We have started operation activities for the first time to get certification of Environmental Management System　JIS Q 14001：2015（ISO 14001：2015).
The internal audit has already been completed in June.
Now we are in preparation of the initial assessment in August 

and are making steady efforts for the main assessment in September this year.

We will be a environmentally friendly company and 

care for environment more and more in our steel belt business.

The above picture is our Environmental Policy issued in March this year.

(1) We design, manufacture and sell environmentally friendly precision machined parts and related equipments.

(2) We will design and develop in consideration of the environment for resources and energy consumed or disposed by our business activities, and control or reduce them through alternative use of materials in an effort to prevent global warming.

(3) Capture the impact of business activities on the environment, and set goals within the range that is technically and economically possible.

(4) We will work to prevent pollution and work on environmental protection through resource exhaustion measures (energy saving, resource saving, use of renewable energy, mitigation of climate change (warm gas response)).

(5) In our business activities, we will comply with relevant environmental laws and regulations and environmental requirements to which we agree.

DYMCO　has born in the last era of Showa, run through Heisei era, and plays now　a part of steel belt business in this Reiwa era.

On June 21 this year, we celebrated our 34th anniversary of company foundation.

We appreciate all of you who helped us in many ways. Please accept my thank-you to all of you again.

While getting used to era name Reiwa（implying peace & refreshing）, I am worried about the bogus reality of Work-style reform, or too much mention of power harassment lacking truthful meaning.

The essence of work-style reform is advanced productivity through work improvement. The sales promotion shall be achieved under the conditions of reduced working hours.

I am sure that the reduction of overtime work shall not be the sole purpose of work-style reform.　Spoiling employee does not equal to prepare a good work condition. Loose regulations tend to lead employee to self-deception with low productivity. It is my opinion that true work-style reform shall be a human resource development conforming to market fluctuation, and continuous effort to improve work-life balance is essential for company management. Experiencing hard-working time in one’s twenties or thirties having strong physical strength, vitality, and mental power will reward the person with the capability to conduct himself well when physical strength is declining later. A leading person endeavor to develop himself inconspicuously. A principle rooted in my mind is that excessive compliance deed and/or reversed power harassment shall be eradicated in DYMCO’s office.

Entering 34th financial year, I wish our service and products will contribute to your successful business conduct.
