Hardness and tensile strength of the welded area is equal to parent material.


Generally a welded area of SUS304 is weak.

Hardness of this area goes down to two thirds of parent material.

However, due to ring-rolling process the welded area regains the original strength. Fatigue strength chart below shows this advantage.
