Conveyor belts are made of rubber and resin, etc, which have both merits and demerits by its usage. The steel belt is made of the metal and the stainless steel is the main material which doesn't rust easily. The steel belts are used under the condition of difficult or impossible in rubber and resin as steel belts has own metal characteristics.

Steel Belt (12) Welded stainless steel belt for transportation

1. What is the welded stainless steel belt?
The stainless steel belt usage can be divided: one is for the power transmission and the other is for transportation.
I’d like to focus on welded stainless steel belt for transportation - conveyor.

Steel Belt (11) Making Process of the ring rolled seamless stainless steel belt

The ring rolled seamless stainless steel belt is produced: firstly finishes up in welded endless belt, and rolls out the ring afterwards. Therefore, the welding parts become same mechanical strength as other parent metal parts, and it enables to use for a small belt pulley.
The ring rolled seamless stainless steel belt is 'Belt which has same strength in welding part as the parent metal, and finishes it up in the flat steel belt.'

Steel Belt (10) Recommended belt pulley diameter

At 40μm, recommended belt pulley diameter is 16mm. If it is i=5, it is 80mm. If it is i=10, it is 160mm.
However, please note that the wrapping angle of the steel belt on the original movement side should become small if deceleration ratios (i) are taken up to ten, bigger tension power will be needed.
Please contact us when i=5 is exceeded or if you would like to use diameter which is smaller than 16mm.
