On Steel Belt No. 1 1910

Steel belt history begins around in 1910 when they were used for the first time in the world.  At that time belts were made endless by rivets.

Steel Belt and Tracking 12 Edge Positioning Control Case 2

The conveyor in the photo is equipped with EPC and dries solid sugar. Belt width is 350mm.

Before introduction of EPC, V-guide often came off the belt and production halted. Now this trouble does not happen any more for this user.

Steel Belt and Tracking 10: Edge Positioning ControlCase 1

EPC worked when belt width was 500mm and conveyor length was 3000mm. Temperature was from 20 to 300 degrees C. In general under these temperature there appear deformations and waves. These deformations hamper tracking by crown pulleys, while V-guides begin to deteriorate due to heat. However, this 500mm-wide belt rotated fine with EPC and we could obtain data as below that shows waves along belt width direction.
