Steel Belt is made of thin metallic materials, which shape is open or endless. Steel belt is used for power transmission and transportation.　As steel belts has high tension feature so the expansion is minimum. Other steel belt features are heatproof, abrasion proof, chemical resistance, weather resistance, clean, and smoothness, etc.Steel belt’s main material is stainless steel, e.g. SUS304.

Recently needs of the steel belt show the tendency to miniaturize. The welding technique has developed. As a result, many thinner steel belt materials are enables to be welded. The steel belts are various.

The steel belts are not so familiar with especially for the new comers.

However, the past endless belts had faults such as joint part was weak and the roller diameter scale was large. Gradually to make an endless belt, both ends of the belt were compared and welded. The welded part has become the same thickness as other parts of the endless belt and the roller diameter changed to small one.

But the most endless belts have been used for the transportation for large-scale conveyors.

The history of the steel belt is old. The steel belt has been used since about 1910. At that time, when making endless belt, the both ends of end part of the steel belt was fixed with the rivet (tack) by overlapping, and the joint part was made endless.
